Whats so funny about that? yea most people up here are rednecks, but there are a few who are above it, im sure there are mullet-rods in the big orange. and trucks with homade beds. ---

here is the reason the wiring is shitty its my first ever swap and its my first ever wiring job im 17 and go to auto tech at school i am not mister honda and dont know everything i wish i did it would be easier and if anyone is up this way and wouldnt mind stoppin and throwing in a few extra hands it would greatly be apreciated ---

those connectors are terrible man. invest in a soldering iron and some shrink wrap and it wont be nearly as ghetto ---

Use it as advice. Your attitude is great. Sure you might have to debug some wiring shit before you get this thing running, but stick with it, it’s not that hard. If you lived closer I’d lend ya a hand but you are just too far and I got too much shit of my own to worry about at the moment. In about a month when school is over, if you still need a hand. I could probably make that trip to help ya out and get that thing running. ---

if ur a little iffy on whether or not u know how to solder, there are tons of tutorials for it online. do a google search for “soldering tutorial”. its a really easy thing to do and will save u the head-ache of an intermidant wiring problem in the future ---

[/quote] I’m sure that you know about them, but they make connectors that you crimp on like what you got and they have a bit of solder in them so them you warm them up. Use a heat gun though, then you can do you shrink wrap also. Your going to have probablems with water, but they will work to get the car running make sure the wires are right b4 you finallize. ---

wrinkle paint on that valve cover would have looked alot better than the paint you used on it…but it looks alot better than before so anything is an improvement…but for the future you should look into wrinkle paint as far as the wiring…i have to agree with everyone that the connectors you used are not going to last long and you will have to go through and re-do it. If your 100% confident you did the wiring correctly i would go through and re-do it correctly before u get deep into the project. If your just trying to make sure it runs, that would be the first thing i would do once it was running. I wouldnt even use those connectors on an aftermarket head-unit, they are just garbage in my opinion. other than that i like how ur taking the initiative and doing it yourself. You’ll learn alot that way and gain some valuable skills in the long run. Keep up the good work. ---
