That thing looks like it was on the Titanic, haha. What year is it? You can get refurbed and synthetic stocks if it proves to be too much of a mess.

The collector value decreases a stupid amount when people try and refinish or restore guns themselves. FYI.

Not really. It’s easy to believe they’re evil and know what they’re doing, as it’s comforting to believe that someone is doing this _to_ us; it gives us somewhere to place the blame. Stock was unsalvagable ☹
ATI stock, polished bolt, refinished everything.
Need to get a scope mount and extended bolt handle and it’ll bea great shooter.

Literally plug and play. I’ve heard some reviews require some sanding to make it fit but mine was so effortless. Snap the mag in, snap the barrel in, two screws and done.

Not anymore, I got that back when it was legal. It gets a lot of attention at the range in a sea of ARs and AKs.

Apparently an order of ARs I placed back in January with a 6-8 week lead time just processed and shipped yesterday. lol I completely forgot about them.

It’s excellent. There’s so little felt recoil because the action is back closer to your shoulder instead of levered out past the buttstock as per a standard rifle. Your follow-up shots are quicker that way. Accurate too, it’s got a cold-hammered chrome-lined barrel - the barrel that’s on it is 18", but the rifle is smaller than my tactical shotgun.
It has an adjustable gas system, translucent polymer mags, ambidextrous design and the whole thing breaks down into six major components with no tools.

It’s got all the goodies built in. Only downside is a heavy trigger (trigger pack is plastic) but I’ve modded mine with a Neutrigger device. :tspry:

Took an active US Army designated marksman out to the range and let him go through some vintage steel… M44, K98, K31, M1. “My M4 doesn’t kick like these do” :lol: (his DM rifle is an M14)
He also got a chance to fire an AK, which I hope he took something away from. :tup:
