That sucks, he was cool but didn’t give a shit about his body and didn’t try to change until it was too late and he was coughing up blood on television. I hated seeing him and his son with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. ---

Energy drink after energy drink, ridiculous hours (2-3 hours of sleep every 24), ungodly amounts of stress from deadlines, weather, crew, and family; and the damn coffin nails. RIP - he genuinely looked like a big-hearted old bear ---

I guess you dont need to fall off the boat to be killed by that lifestyle. He was badass and very enjoyable to follow on that show. Sad to see him go RIP ---

RIP I’m sure Discovery will do a fitting tribute episode considering this happened during the crabbing season. The episode they did covering the sinking of the Katmai was probably one of the most real and emotional things I’ve seen on TV. ---

Edit: and RIP to Phil, I liked him on that show. ---

They save that guys life and bam, full pots the rest of the trip. Definitely RIP… Though you could have predicted this, given the fact that he already had blood clots in his lungs. It was only a matter of time if he didn’t quit that lifestyle - so his body quit on him. It’s still too bad, though. ---

I couldnt believe he was still smoking even when his broken ribs punctured his lung and he was coughing up blood. That was pretty crazy. ---
