I got my car used but it came with the dealer applied 3M protector on the front to block chips from shit on the road. After 3 years, it is starting to bubble and get off color. Is this something that can just be removed or will the color on the car be different and need to have it replaced? Any suggestions for places that do this or should I try a local dealer since I bought the car out of state?

The only concern is if it has any UV protection it my be less sun faded than the rest of the hood. The guy I sold my old car removed it and I can’t find the line on his hood after a good buff. Granted it was a black car.

A good friend of mine is a licensed Lamin-x installer, they offer head/tail light as well as body protection. My truck is in the process of wrapping a majority of the front end, his Titan has been done for years and no issues with paint fade, etc.

If you want his contact info just let me know.
