# rollin' w/ the top down...

man, i miss driving a convertible. i know i said i’d never build another convertible into a drag car–whihc i wont. but ill deffinitely own another fun daily driver type–preferably a convertible that i wont f’ w/ the engine.
took the 240 out tonight, just drove it. top down, windows down, no radio. i miss doing that in the cabby. to bad it sucks when you have to climb over a rollbar, sit in an uncomfortable bucket seat, strap yourself in, constantly monitor engine vitals. just no bullshit top down enjoying the drive. to bad if i keep this car i’d more than likely turbo the stock ka, run it until it blows, then swap it. so this car deffinitely needs to go.

I know what you mean…I;m glad just having a sunroof again. Similar effect just not as baller. Dream weekend car would be an M3 vert with roll bar. geah!

start looking for an Infinity M30, swap the 240 goodies and be done… my first whip was a wrangler, and 1/2 the reason I dug it was for taking off the tops and doors… The sunroof helps but just isn’t the same…

dont get me wrong, car is still fun to drive or i wouldnt be dicking w/ it still. however, it loses the just get in and go metality. like before rollbar/cage days, it was a matter of get in and go. now that shit is built up, not so. allways monitoring stuff. not a car i’d want to take on a roadtrip to enjoy the scenery.

just cell phone pics, no good ones yet. think of a 240 coupe, but w/ a convertible. car still has a trunk lid. doors are a bit different too. and the back 1/4 glass is different–they roll up and down.

i agree with that man, my 86 gp with the -tops was sweet no worrys at all just cruise, now the delsol you are constantly looking for shit to go wrong so you really cant enjoy the ride. but i like you will most likley always have a car with no roof

Top’s been completely removed from my Wrangler for over a week…which in PA is like nearly never occurrence. It’s nice.
Thought about taking the doors off. Didn’t really feel like wrestling with 'em.
