# Rolling Shots, and AN random shot.

Did this shoot a few weeks ago for ‘vinhdc5’ just posting them up for feedback/tips. This first shot was edited quick, its horrible, I know. The rest are repetitive as well. Just curious as to cool locations for rolling shots and tips on making them look better.

Keep the windows rolled up on the shots. With an open window it distracts from the lines of the car.

If I had 1 critique it would be that the backgrounds aren’t show much movement in most of them. You might want to try dropping your shutter speed a bit.

Yeah, I used magnetic lasso on the wheels and lightened them in curves… Unfortunately that was the only way I could get the wheels and matte black wheels to not blend in with the wheel-well and shadows. HATE black wheels!

I HATE turning my ISO up. With that said, it was getting dark outside, and that was the slowest shutter speed that I could use without blurring the car as well. I was also too lazy to use a motion blur filter in post production since it sucks the color out of the car and takes me a shit ton of time to look normal.
Does anyone know how to more properly fix that problem in CS5?

yeah, obviously sometimes you can’t go any further on shutter speed. Maybe next time try a less bumpy road or just man up and steady your hands! lol, I know, easier said than done.
they definitely are great shots, I’m not trying to discount them at all.

The obnoxious color of the watermark is definitely annoying. It draws way too much focus.

If you where using a rig (Mine for example, which you are always welcome to) you would be having none of your current issues.
