# Rough weight of a KADE?

does anyone know a general weight of a ka24de engine?
no transmission, just the engine.

under one of tha pics say:

and some other forum said that tha tranny weighs bout 100 lbs.
but yea jus saw it said **DE** … soo i guess reffer to alesserfate’s one

i saw it in a video where they were doing a LS1 swap to compare the weight, really quite interesting you should check it out, you’d be surprised in the weight difference

Its not 100 lb lighter than the ka
the ka is right at 500 lb around, the 493 posted before was probably correct, ODB1 probably lighter

KA24E is 100pounds lighter den tha KA24DE
not because of ODB1 or whatever, but its because one has 16v vs 12v and anotha cam.
probably theres some other thing but im not sure.
