1986 SR5 corolla hatch. I bought it from Eddie Habeck in February '06 and proceded to amass parts off the [club4ag.com](http://club4ag.com) forums. I’ve been a member on there since 98, so I already had a pretty good idea what I was looking at. ![http://www.leded.com/r86_01.jpg](http://www.leded.com/r86_01.jpg) ![http://www.leded.com/r86_02.jpg](http://www.leded.com/r86_02.jpg) ![http://www.leded.com/r86_03.jpg](http://www.leded.com/r86_03.jpg) ![http://www.leded.com/my4age.JPG](http://www.leded.com/my4age.JPG) Installed already: -4AGE- balanced and bluepreinted, mikuni/solex 44mm sidedraft carbs, TRD valve springs, ported head -Carter low pressure high volume fuel pump -Mallory FPR -electric fan -MSD 6AL ignition -MSD Blaster 2 coil -OBX 4-1 header -gutted cat -Illegal Garage clutch -Greddy/Trust DD exhaust Needs the alternator wiring messed with to get it charging before I can spend some time tuning the carbs (it runs now, but super rich) Purchased, awaiting my lazy ass to get motivated and install: -Corolla GTS LSD rear end with disc brakes (SR5s are drum in the rear) -MSD 8981 timing computer -Paradise racing front coilovers 8k spring rate -Swift rear springs 6k spring rate -KYB AGX adjustable shocks -14x9 Epsilon wheels 0 offset -carbon fiber hood (oem style, plan on painting with the car) Future plans: -Cusco engine and trans mounts -T3 short shifter -T3 LSD rebuild kit -Koyo radiator -BattleVersion lateral rod -BattleVersion NCRCAs -new brake rotors -ProthaneFull bushing kit -Camber plates (TEIN, Cusco, project mu) -Largus sway bars (F/R) -BattleVersion Rear traction brackets -BattleVersion adjustable 4 link set -Vertex STYLE body kit (shine auto is urethane and the real vertex is fiberglass and would get destroyed at the height I plan on running) -JBlood rear wing -JDM redline taillights -Full paint (close to stock color, a little darker) -new dash cover -Nardi steering wheel with NRG quick release hub -HID lights yellow 3000k I plan on doing most of the mechanical work first, and driving it for a bit to work out the bugs before getting into the pretty bits ;D This isnt a daily driver, so I plan to set it up pretty aggressive for fun on the streets. maybe an occasional track day, but I dont think it will be set up that great for grip. ---

nah, I only like the red pandas, plus theyre too overdone. Paint is a long way off, but probably similar to elliots Mr2 (the grey part) ---

After seeing that paint/wheel combo I’m in love. These cars are so rare around here it’s ridiculous, and modified are even rarer, you got yourself a keeper there. So Drift or AutoX/Track. Very hard to build a car to suit both. ---

Btw, what is the diff between pop-up headlights, and regular stand alones? Years? JDM trim only? All i’ve seen are pop-up only, which is why I’m curious. ---

in the US, they only sold pop up style. in Japan, you had a choice of “Trueno” with the popups or “Levin” with the fixed. I guess id say its more built towards drift, but really just for a fun street car. I’ve done track days in the past with my Matrix so I could see maybe doing one.I’m not a fan of Auto X at all. I’d say all 3 require pretty different setups ---
