Ruf claims a 0-62 mph time of 4.1 seconds and a top speed of 186 mph for a Carrera S with this supercharger setup.
435 bhp at 7000 rpm and 346 lb-ft at 5000 rpm

:tif: looks really hot, probly handles amazing, but I’m not impressed with the power numbers for a 997 with a blower. Less torque than my stock GTO and only 30 more bhp than a stock vette or cobra

whatever the actual torque/hp #'s are, it certainly seems to have as much acceleration and top speed as you might be able to put into a MR platform that small

3.6 LITER BOXTER 6 YO…i think…if its just a bolt-on blower form RUF…which i have no idea what they do i assume its more than a bolt on process for them…but if its not thats a high compression motor running on low boost…but again…if RUF did it they prolly reworked the internals

And I can build a 92 civic hatch with 800 HP with 1/3 the money your GTO costs and smoke it…

i think Joe might have a point. i mean i have never heard of a car being any good at all with less horespower or peak tq than a GTO. that or i might just be too lazy to compile a list that long 🙂
whether the peak numbers impress or not, that car is smooth, absolutely daily drivable if you have the money and balls, and without a doubt can be taken to a track and SPANK lotsa cars that might show up, including maybe some other race prepped cars. ceteris paribus.
regardless though, that car is hot, i have a spot in my heart for RUFs, and after i make my millions and buy a helicopter, there will be one of those in my stables as well.
also RUF 997’s wayyyyyy better than 996. i hope not too many 997 chassis are built
