# Rust... where to fix?

Ok, so I have some rust on part of the unibody and I just can’t swap out a panel without welding (which I can’t do). I want to keep this particular vehicle and restore as much as possible. I don’t want to bondo it and I heard I can get a new peice of metal welded in but I don’t know who to call. Can I get some recommendations please? Thanks.

I know the shop of the corner of kenmore/colvin does it pretty cheap. It’s not show car quality and they take fuckin forever, but they’re cheap, lol.

Not yet, but there’s basically a hole the size of a dime where you can see into the wheel well. It’s rather small but I’m sure more rust is being hidden under the paint. I have no idea where to go.

What you really need is a good body shop. I’ve had a few different ones work on my car, all with mixed results so I won’t recommend any of them.

I’ve always understood that when something rusts it’s a lost cause. Winterize the next car that you have to help prevent it from happening. Cover the entire undercarriage, the wheelwells, inside your doors, and under the hood (but not the motor) lol.

If it was no big deal then why wouldn’t everyone with a nice car that they wanted to keep for a long time drive it all winter through the ionized environment that salt creates, letting it rot away to nothing? Or not even bother to change lanes when they’re behind a salt truck. According to you not having a frame after ten years is NBD.
And take it easy man I’m only kidding about the spam thing.
EDIT:
So you edited your post and took out the part about how I “must have never heard of restoring a car before?” And how it’s “pretty neat?”
