# s13 fmic install

put my rebar back on today and was mocking up the fmic. looks like im gunna have to notch out the re-bar.

anyone else have to do this? is this necessary?

yes its necessary otherwise it won’t fit. You have to notch the back of it about half of its thickness. I also welded some supports from inside the rebar to make up for any lost rigidity from notching it. I’m using a greddy vspl, maybe other fmic’s may have to be modified differently?

alot of people completely remove the rebar, not the greatest idea

i have the centre of my rebar cut out for the IC but have both sides of the bar still in.

yeah i think im going to notch out the front center section and leave justa bit in the back for support.
