# S13/S14 Block differences?

I need a block to send out to be sleeved and I want to know if I the S13 SR and S14 SR block are identical? Obviosuly the heads are not but that doesnt matter to me as I have a head already.
Will everything bolt on in the same location, front covers the same, etc.

you should be fine. ive seen plent of 13 heads on 14/15 blocks.

I would just assume if the Blocks were the same then Nissan would have used the same Part Numbers for each but they didnt…
S13 & RS13 = 10103-50F50
S14 = 10103-69F50
However… I know that a S13/S14 Bell Housings are the same. So I would assume since all the locations on the back of both blocks are the same, then everything on the front would be as well ?
But unless anyone knows for sure from experinces you may have to actually compare each block to insure that everything will line/bolt up

I’m going to guess they are different since s13 and s14/15 don’t use the same water pump or front cover.

you can use s13 head on s14/s15 but NOT the other way around
oil passages for VTC are different.

Thanks Fellas. Looks like I will look for an S14 block.
