why bother? all these home made HID “retro-fit” headlights look like crap… Zenki S14 never came with it and Nissan never intended to have HID’s on the Zenki S14, so why the hell would you try to do it? This is one of those rare times that OE is actually better than the aftermarket part.
Hell even buying an HID “kit” is crap… (I don’t know anyone that didn’t have problems with off the shelf HID kits).
Not to mention that looks like utter sh\*t. If you buy those, just drive that 240 off a cliff.

Curious about this:
-what sort of ballast did you use?
-H7 or what sizings?
-How much do those TSX projectors/housings cost?
-High-low out of same projector?
I am building something for my s13 popups (making non popup) and I might as well use a proper projector. Lol… i was gona just shuv some H7s into hella ff75 housings _giggle_
PS - ignore the hate on here. Too much haterade going around always. Props for the work. I think they look alright albeit… _different_. Maybe with some clearcorner turn signals and different bodywork/paint people would appreciate it. At the end of the day it most likely lights up better than any other zenki. Function over form.

From an aesthetics point of view I’d say it doesn’t look good at all. The gaps are too big between the headlights and the hood, and they don’t fit well with the corner lights either.
The look would improve by painting the chrome reflector satin black, or putting some kind of overlay in front of the reflector area… with a hole open for just the projector.
Functionally speaking there shouldn’t be much of a problem with this kind of setup as long as you can aim the headlights to proper spec.
The light output, beam pattern and cut-off should be as good as a TSX.
This setup is NOTHING like just dropping an HID capsule into an oem housing. THAT is stupid, dangerous and illegal. This is using the projector assy and bulb from a TSX and retrofitting it into a 240 headlamp housing.
OEM projector HIDs actually self-level with an electronic actuator to compensate for weight changes in the car, which causes your lights to point higher. These will not do that. So they should be aimed with extra weight in the back to compensate for this.
Ahmed: the TSX projectors are bi-xenon so, yes, high and low beam in one unit. They use a D2S arc discharge bulb. H7 is an incandescent halogen bulb – totally different.
Hella FF75s are not meant for headlamp replacements. They are, depending on which beam pattern you select, auxiliary driving lights or fog lights. TOTALLY different.

i honestly like it, its just different, some ppl might like it some might not. I’d go on zilvia and nico and advertise there, more of a widespread audience.
Btw, the tsx projectors are 2.5" lens right? How big is the outer plasticy/chromy/metally thing? Can it be removed? Reason Im asking, again, is the housings im building they have a 2.5" circular opening x2, so to fit it, the lenses would fit… but the outer thing wouldnt i can modify and whatnot but just wondering how modifyable is the projector, ive never actually held one in my hands.

Pictures 3 4 and 5 look like they are really well done and if i had a zenki thats how i would want mine to look, except i prefer amber corners.

I don’t think the majority of people understand the benefits of projectors or that these aren’t an aesthetic mod but functional. An oem xenon in a projector is completely different than just throwing an HID kit in your housings. blinding other drivers is fun too though.
The only headlights I’ve seen handle an HID kit extremely well were mk4 golf headlamps. Good cutoff and hardly any glare.
