so s15 sr sells for $3500 and s14 sr for $2000… if i want 300hp with a 6 speed can i just get and s14 sr and buy a bigger turbo inject and the s15 tranny? for less than the $3500? or should i just get the s15 complete up the boost a bit and call it a day? already searched, didnt come up with what i wanted to know ---

Same reason the S13 SR is cheaper than the S14 SR. ---

buy S14 engine then pick up a Nismo 6 speed tranny for it( s13/14 tranny) so you dont have to fuck around with the S15 clutch, and speed sensor ---

so would the extra money spent on the s15 sr be worth it? im guessing no, since i would have clutch and speed sensor issues to deal with. ---

s15 sr isn’t worth it. Theres a reason so many ppl buy s13 sr’s and drop them in s13/14. Only reason a s15 makes more power then s13/s14 sr, is pistons are set at 10:1 compression, and it has a t28 bb turbo, vvti. s14 has a older gen t28, lower compression and vvti. s13 has a t25. If you ran the same turbo on all engines, with the same compression, they woudl all make the same power. In essence, your best option, is get a s13 sr, and get a nismo 6speed. The nismo 6 speeds, have a correction for the speedsensor clutch stuff, they are designed to work with s13 and s14 gen motors. ---

That’s a solid price for the S14 SR. I haven’t seen many places selling them for under 3K. ---

Just buy a engine, no tran from a reputable place like japan direct. I haggled with them and got my motor, sans accesories and turbo/injecotrs, basically the head and block with intake, for 900. It took alot of haggling. Id buy one then buy a bunch of goodies for it and the 6spd ---
