# SAAB Guys, help me out

I drive a 91 Saab 900. My other cars are not road worthy and this was going to be my winter car and I was planning on keeping it forever. Well on Friday my shifter came right out. I bent it a bit and broke some plastic off on the bottom. I need a new one and it has to be in my car by Monday before work. I’ve checked every junkyard I can including goldwing and I can’t find one. I’m kind of nervous because I don’t want to junk this car all because of a shifter. Anyone have any clue what to do?

Check Skyway on Tifft st in Buffalo. They probably won’t know if they have one or not, and you’ll have to walk around to look, but they have a lot of old imports laying around. I’m sure they have a few 900s.

Was thinking about it lol
Checked skyway and exactly, they said no we don’t but I actually got a hold of a guy that has one and I’ll be picking it up tomorrow so after 2 days of calling every junkyard there is around here, gold wing, and dealerships and no one having one, I’m pretty relieved!

can you use some vise grips for now? sounds pretty ghetto but should work will you can order one

Well the shifter has a plastic piece around the shaft and then a plastic ball around that and that is what slides into the connector thingy to control what gear I’m in so a screw driver or anything with vice grips wouldn’t work. But I finally found a guy that has one and picked it up yesterday so she should be good to go soon
