Well, it’s not like we didn’t see shit like this coming. Looks like the Sabres are for sale, and there is already someone interested in buying them. There is something in the current contract that will keep them here for a few years, regardless of who buys them, but this still sucks balls. If they do in fact leave, this will probably be part of a series of events that drags Buffalo even farther down, driving even more people into leaving this city. Which seems hard from this point. Why does Erie county have to suck so fucking bad? ---

Honestly, I’m glad. Golisano isn’t willing to spend to the cap and you’re not going to win trying to operate on a budget millions under the rest of the league. We’re $7.3 million under the cap right now. Hopefully we get an owner who’s more interested in winning a cup than in making money by picking up a team in bankruptcy and flipping it a few years later.
