that’s quite the background in the hockey business, i’m kind of surprised. I was talking to him at the sabres end-of-the-season party last year, and whenever someone brought up something pertaining to systems, depth or roles he had no idea what was going on ---

DiPofi runs the front office…Anything relating directly to players/strategy falls under Darcy…everyone reports to Larry who reports to Golisano…or something along those lines. ---

The hockey department is also separated from the front office…company picnics and stuff the hockey dept doesn’t show up. ---

i wasn’t referring to sabres. i mean we were having a conversation about hockey and the guy had no idea what was going on its all good, i know they are two separate entities (sports vs business aspects of it). he was at the players party, hence the hockey discussion and i’m not too sure about the kid I went to school with, evan. he talks the game well, he’s always standing behind darcy during press conferences/announcements. told me he was in the O, etc. but I talked to a kid that played high-school with him and said no way, didn’t even make varsity. I tried to get him out to my skate, and to play some skate he plays on tuesday, but he never plays. so I’m guessing he has a nice job with the sabres, but he isn’t the player he says he is ---

i played a hockey game at hsbc with larry quinn’s son for some tv pilot. i like matt, he’s a good guy, but not a hockey player like his dad lol ---

In conjunction with a statement released on [Sabres.com](http://Sabres.com) earlier this week, Quinn responded to reports that the franchise was for sale. “We’re not shopping the team, we’re not trying to sell the team, we’re not approaching anybody to sell the team,” Quinn said. “The only thing that people need to know is that if we ever do sell the team we are never going to sell to someone who would move it out of Buffalo… we’re not going to do that.” ---
