# Samsun DLP Issue

I’ve had my DLP for over a year (maybe even close to two), and it gets some pretty steady use (maybe 4 hrs a day). Recently I’ve noticed on very dark screens that i am starting to get a lot of light bleed (best description I can think of) at the bottom third of the screen. Any idea what this is an indication of?

its the mirrors…lol

avsforums.

but, i’d have to guess its time to replace the lamp - tho it seems far too early. Thats only ~3000 hours.

Good news is, warranty should cover the issue if its only 2yrs old.

Or, do what I did, get the HLT series 🙂

lol 4 hours a day steady use lol.

Then mine is on overkill, it’s rediculous how many hours are on it, 10 months old, 4000 hours. Wonder how long it will go. I’m going to buy the next bulb soon though so I don’t have downtime.

Im guessing its the mirrors too. it shouldnt be the bulb this early

It goes on when we get home, watch TV and make dinner. I probably only watch about 2 hrs of TV a day, if that. Doesn’t mean it is only on 2 hrs a day though.
