A few peaks and valleys but nothing really significant. On the other hand, vehicle deaths are sharply down from the beginning. That doesn’t mean that guns are getting worse, it means that cars are getting safer. ---

Cars are getting a double bump in stats too because not only do they get safer each year but since 2007 total miles driven has been dropping because of the recession. ---
