> I’ve been stumped by this before, and found a fix. Right click this link and add it as a bookmark/favorite:
>
> Bookmark it, don’t click it — javascript:if(document.getElementById(‘macdownloadlink’)!=null){window.location.href=document.getElementById(‘macdownloadlink’)}else{alert(‘Go to Google Video to download videos as AVI.’)};" target="\_blank
>
> Then, when you are on the Google Video site watching a video that you want to download, just go to your Favorites and select that bookmark. It will pop up the download option for you. This allows you to save the vid as a standard AVI file, instead of Googles ghey GVI file type which only plays in the Google Player.

Yay

Nay!

Only way Ive found to consistently pull Google Videos is with FireFox

There is a Video DL Extension… if I can find a link, Ill post. But Im sure You all can look as well.

It saves in .flv… for which I need to find a converter… but I am lazy. The vids work in the Google player.

Yeah, I noticed that if you choose download and have Google Video Player installed the videos do end up being saved in C:\Documents and Settings\<i\>[your user]\My Documents\My Videos\Google Videos

I’d still like them in a non-google video format though.

I think that vlc media player will play just about any format (so to avoid having to convert them). It has some real slick post processing filters too
