I went to Friday’s yesterday for happy hour and there was a SOM 05 Vette there. I went over to it and did a pretty quick walk around and here are my impressions. Front on view I didnt like all that much, well not as much as the 97-04. Front corner view was better and I liked a lot. Side view was sick…I loved it. Those wheels look really good in person. Back corner view was decent. Rearend view I hated, it is so huge. It just goes straight down and slightly curves in towards the tire. Overall it is an awsome car and I liked it a lot. I would have to say that it did loose some of it’s identity a bit. It is like they stole a bunch of stuff from other cars and combined it with the Vette’s styling. :blanyer: ---

well pretty soon nothing…but this was the first time I ever got to see one in person ---

i disagree about the front end… i think the new headlights make it look far more high-dollar than the old pop-ups. on a side note, do any cars still come with pop-ups? ---

^ agreed… i thought it was a new type of lotus looking car until i realized it was a vette… front end is much much much better… nice looking car ---

yeah the new front end is reminiscent of a ferarri 550. ---

Yes it does look more “high-dollar”, but if I were buying a Vette I wouldn’t give a fuck how high dollar it looked. I want something that looks like it was made for racing not for some Yuppy to buy and drive it like a pussy. (Even though that is what 90% of Vette owners are) ---

cool. i’d take a C6 over a base C5 based on looks + performance, but looks alone, i like C5 better. C5 Z06 \> C6 though. but C6 Z06 will prob make the C5 Z obsolete. but i dont care. ---

I was in Bowling Green last week, there were trailers full of snake food every where. They should be poping up every where soon. ---
