# SCC Edmonton Cancelled

SCC Edmonton Cancelled
We’re sorry to report that SCC is officially cancelled at the recommondation of Castrol Raceway. There are large collections of water at the track that cannot be removed before our event date. Stay tuned as we work to secure a replacement date in October.
SCC Calgary - Oct 7 - we hope to see you there.

Maybe I am missing something but why is this event even planned for September anyway? The weather is never as good as May - July. Hmmmm?

thats kind of dumb. i was at castrol all day yesterday for a CTEC course and it wasnt that bad. and if its going to be +10 out tommorow it should be mostly dry. the section of grass in the fenced area is filled with water. i saw no other puddles anywhere

“Mostly” dry doesn’t cut it with drag racing, plus muddy show space for show cars. Nobody wanted this event to happen more than we did.

woohoo I can use the Legacy!
That kinda’ sucks they cancelled it but just like what Dave mentioned, why have it in September? It’s Alberta…we could have all three seasons in less than half an hour.
