Word. I find it funny when someones excuse for buying a bike is to save on gas. It would take a couple decades on average to get any ROI.
The better gas mileage is just a perk for a fun thing to do that can double as DD transportation for SOME of the year.
but, to the OP. I don’t feel as a moped in Buffalo is the most practical thing. If it was your only vehicle, and you geared up properly to ride it more often and longer, then yes. If not, no.

God those things scare me. WNY has no crowded streets. I can’t think of one place where traffic actually goes less than 40 mph. Sure they’re great in places where the streets are jammed with cars, people, cattle, etc. But here? :ohnoes:
Cal just go get your motorcycle license and a used Ninja 250.

^lol. yea, my brother is the one who can’t stop talking about these scooters.
i suppose 50cc scooters can’t go above 35mph, right?
KuntryQuestTSi, since you’re working at Bucks, do you know the exact requirements for purchasing scooter? Do i need to show proof of insurance?

I rented a scooter in myrtle beach… you weren’t allowed to take it out of the village limits, but me and my friend took it down the thruway…and with the aid of a hill,drafting and body tuck (for aerodynamics) I hit 50 mph on it.

The answers are right on the DMV’s website, although they call them mopeds not scooters. Regulations are determined by top speed, not CC. Although I’m not sure how they determine top speed. :shrug:

my ex g/f bought a stella scooter from “pride of cleveland scooters” it goes pretty good for a 150cc but it needs a pipe.lol.
basically they bought the rights from vespa/piaggio to reproduce this classic style as almost an exact replica.

The ruckus is pretty awesome.
Def. don’t buy one for the gas money savings however. I only saved a few hundred dollars riding my motorized bicycle last summer and it only cost me $300. I did have a fun summer on it though.
I would own a ruckus for fun but never as actual transportation.
