I just recently purchased my 240sx, it runs good but lately after start up the car makes a loud screeching noise for about 7-10 seconds. When I rev the car the noise goes away. Does anybody eles have this problem?

i had that same problem, it ended up being a belt that needed to be tightend, or maybe you need new belts.

Most likely belt slippage. Check the tension on your belts by twisting them… if you can twist more than 90 degrees they are too loose…

Too tight is bad too, tighten till you can turn them 90 degrees and if the
noise is still there they are probably worn out.
