Ok, guy has PNY USB SD/MMC card reader single slot.
guy has samsung verizon phone that uses Micro SD Patriot Card. also has patriot micro SD adapter that fits the Pny reader.
guy plugs in Pny Reader and computer says software may not work properly. guy has windows 2k.
Pny wesite says it plug and play. but i guess i need software???
how do i get the reader to work and will it read the card.
please help me out cause im a NEWBBB…

Is it asking to install a driver? If so did the PNY device come with a device driver cd? If no, check the PNY website. PNP probably for XP, typically 2k needed a driver for everything.

it probably did came with one but i just got the reader from my friend thinking it was plug and play.
it asked if it could search for software.

Yeah its asking for a driver.
