Yeah well I expect him to have a little more faith in me. though he has riden in the passager seat with me driving and has a lot of driving experience himself But were not talking about a sports car, were talking about a 19 year old car with 190k miles on it lol I guess though I have to prove that I can drive responsibly on my own for him to feel safe. I just got worried that he became to much of a old man and forgot how to have fun with cars (he does drive a mini van now, its a company car so its not by choice just to save his rep a bit lol). I guess once he can trust me with the power it will come šŸ™‚ ---

yea, my first car was going to be an 89 gta, my grampa was gunna help me buy it, but then he asked me wat motor was in it, and i told him a 350, and he said it was too powerful for a 17yr olds first car, so he bought me a 91 dodge colt for my graduation gift cause i was beat up about not getting the gta. so it worked out for me, my first car was free. just listen to your parents man. just get a differant car for now and show them ur responsible, then save up and look for another supra, theyre always up for sale. ---

really, how fast IS this anyways? it it even turbo? do what you gotta doā€¦ iā€™d just chill it out, man. this isnā€™t like a new vette or an NSX. if youā€™re living in his house and heā€™s helping you with insurance (for now), you should stick by what he says. prolly will change his mind after a while if you show him youā€™re responsible. ---

Itā€™s always best to start with a pokey ass car anyways. You can learn a lot more from a slow one than you can a fast one. And you can save the money so you can get it later on down the road. ---

i donā€™t think itā€™d be bad as a first car. itā€™s not fast but not slow, and its a toyota so its reliable. the price isnā€™t bad either for a first car. ---

I agree, when I was 17 I moved out, moved out to NY and bought the car I wanted. The only time they had a say was when I was 16, they wanted me to have something more reliable than a 2nd gen DSM (Iā€™m glad he did).
