Well I took my car to a shady garage to get the rad swapped. Mine was leaking evvverywhere and this was the only place that could do it today. Needed to be back on the road asap.
Cost me 350 bucks, even charged me for new coolant even though I had a 4 litre bottle on my backseat
I drove away, everything was cool. Got home, opened the hood.
BAM - thing wasnt even on. I figured the just didnt bolt it up on the left side.
Nope. The snapped BOTH bolts on the hinges. On both sides. Didnt even tell me. So there I was holding my hood. WTF
I managed to get it back on and I called the place. They said the hood wasnt removed to do the rad and that they closed in 10 mins, I told them Id drop by tomorrow. They said they didnt break the hinges.
What can I do now? What normally happens when a garage fucks up your ride?
By looking at the rad, its allready covered in bugs and rocks, it doesnt even look new. It looks used. I asked to look at my old one and HALF of it was ripped off, It DID NOT look like that when I looked at it before. They said it was that rotted.
Im pissed, I feel taken advantage of again. Hell everytime I bring my car to a shop - Im not doing that anymore - Im buying parts and doing it myself fuck that.
What can I threaten the garage with if they dont fix anything.

just sit in front of there garage for a day. and show ppl the quality work they do. by lifting your broken hood hinges and your old dirty used rad

There is nothing really that you can do.
The only thing you could really do is to plead with them. If there are any issues you could threaten to call the police. At that point they will likely cooperate, since I am sure that if they are that ghetto, they are not properly licensed.
Also, worst comes to worst, offer to go 50/50 on the repairs (done properly). And ask for a receipt for the rad (if they said they put a brand new one in).

^ yea ask for receipts, Shops usually keep receipts for the month and do their taxes after.

FUCK IM PISSED
The rad is still leaking, I put a peice of wood under my front end and coolant is still dripping. Is there a special PRE rad orr aynything to protect the main rad? BTW - its a not a 240 - Its an integra - a 90. My car was repainted and there was overspray on the rad. I looked yesterday and there is still overspray on it now, I srsly think they did nothing.
BTW im from sudbury ontario - its a garage called “The auto Doctors”

If you have good enough reason to believe its the same rad. You said, its still got overspray on it, and its still leaking. Unless they paint matched your new rad, I’d say its the same thing. The bolts don’t matter, I wouldn’t be concerned with that anymore since they’re already giving you a hard time, just get the new rad installed.

Okay guys It is a new rad, I compared an old pic, the overspray was on my ac rad I guess. I DIDNT KNOW THAT EXISTED. The leaking may just be from the old coolant hanging around in the skid pan. Its been raining all day. Weoouu.
I need new hingesss still.
