Well it’s that time of year again and it’s time for us to look towards a whole new year of some Shifted entertainment. The staff is going to do our part this year in 2010 and during the season put on meets, cruises, contests and we’ll be bringing the Chill N Grills back in a new location. As members however, you could do your part and help us make the site better in this new year. Give us feedback on how we’ve been doing, suggestions on what to improve on and ideas of what you would like to see more of, or something new introduced. And yes, Srs section, censorship and the double smiley in the box are the issues we are already aware of so they don’t count. Here is to good things to come in 2010!!! ---

Good to know the chill and grills will be coming back! One thing that comes to mind, HTML allowed for posts or plugin for embedding videos ect. ---

I would like to see Shift put on a car show or 2. Maybe a heads up drag race event like Vlad and I discussed a few years ago. Make Build threads that the OP can moderate. If even possible… I think we should have a special section for dues paying members only. Make it affordable tho. Im not sure how many people will want to pay but this could help fund shows, Chill & Grill, The site in general, and so on. Maybe Certified members as well. People that Vlad or other Mods have met and that we know are not Po-po. Who would have access to street racing section… ---

Here is my thing with the site itself: Since I came on here about a year ago, it has been a fun site. And I believe the popularity of this site is high because of the fun we have. Lately, I have noticed a trend towards people getting too serious about a lot of different things. If things get changed too much in the name of PC and $$ then I think it will only hurt the site more than help it. As far as events go, I would like to see more of them this year, and have the ones that are discussed, actually happen. ---

Im pretty sure that if we contributed $$$ that Vlad would make sure we would see a benefit from it. I very well understand your concern and know that this may not ever be a reality but I think a lot of people take for granted what Vlad and other admins and mods do for us and the site. Most of the food at the chill & grills was funded on Vlad’s hard earned cash and I would like to see him get a little help. This site should stay fun. I think there should be some areas that are more serious and that has actually been getting better thanks to a little maturity and hard working moderators. We are all here for fun and I hope it stays that way but I dont think a few bucks a month would hurt to have some awesome meets, track time, ect. example: simple simple math $5 a month X 50 members = $250 a month! This is saying you could get 50 members to pay it of course. I remember when this site started and it was a big deal to get 50 members in a month. It didn’t take long. That goal was met and exceeded. Now I bet we have at least 100 fairly regular users.
