If we get enough people we should rent the track. Also, ask them to combine the uptown and downtown tracks, I have always wanted to try the two track combined. ---

Soun ds awesome guys… I “should” be able to go… Sundays are not easy since I am asst. coach of a soccer team…and that weekendy my wife is away and I have the kids. That all said, there is a good chance i can make it, but no guarentee. I’ll pay up front as needed to solidify the deal! ---

We def should get both the tracks at once, that would be sick, didnt know you could do that, lets contact them and see what our options are, im sure with all us going that we could get more people if needed be, and it shouldnt be impossible to do that, then again they might not even give two shits so we’ll see -singh ---

Thers an endurance race there the 18th… right now the special is 4 races for $80… thats prob what we should all do. 10 min per race. Just saw there is a kids race school the 18th AND 19th form 8:30 till 2. not sure if that will interfere much. ---

Lots of activity- sweet! I’ve updated the list to reflect responses to date. End of day 9/30 will remain the cutoff point to make the reservation list and submit this info to GPNY to try and secure a run group. I contacted Lew offline to try and find out how this race school may impact our schedule. If need be we’ll schedule for 2 pm after the school is over and just stay later… Keep watching the original post for updates. Thanks! ---

I just talked to GPNY and they said the junior racing school will be on just one track. Arrive and Drive is open on the other track in the morning. She did not know which one, but we could do the one they aren’t on in the morning and switch to the other later. To rent the track out is $1100 for 30 min, alot of $$. To rent the combine track for an hour is $5400. I vote arrive and drive. ---

Thanks for that Lew. Those track rental prices = Holy Baller Batman!! :ohnoes So - let’s do arrive and drive. If they run things like other kart tracks, if we all line up together we can just request that we be in the same run group (assuming we have less than 15). Heck, if a random non-shift guy ends up in our run group we’ll just have to give him the Shift518 Special Initiation - into the tire wall baby… J/k. But seriously, this is not a big deal and I’m sure they will accommodate us. ---

I was there alot over winter and they line you up by when you pay. You pay first, you are kart #1. If we all buy tickets for say 3 races ahead of current one running we could get all the karts. ---

We want to be in the same run group. More fun when you know who you’re putting into the wall. **HEY VLAD!!** This thread is a great example of why having too many subforums is a bad idea. This thread never sees traffic; only the people that go digging for it. Just my $.02. Same with the video forum. ---

With 307 and views, this thread is averaging more views then most of the threads in general auto, and subsections allow the general auto section to be cleaned up. Too many sub forums is definitely a bad idea, but it’s a fine line which I’m trying to keep and I don’t think I’m over it yet. Majority of the people click “view unread posts since last visit” anyway, which doesn’t discriminate against sections. I also believe we are getting plenty of dedicated traffic into here. My .02c.
