Had this problem before but it seems worse now with the engine work. Did a full throttle run yesterday and it hits the rev limiter on the 1-2 shift. Used to do it on the 2-3 and sometimes the 1-2 shifts. I used to blame it on the 3.73 gear swap even though the Hypertech should have fixed it. Now I have custom programming.

My fluid was a little low but I doubt that’s the problem.

I’m hoping it’s a programming issue, that it just isn’t shifting early enough and overshooting. Or… tranny is turning to poop.

Any suggestions on figuring this out?

could be cause you got the incorrect tire size on the car and the comp is thinking the speedo is at a different mph but your rpms are off. tire size does effect your revlimter. i hit mine a few times when i went back to stock size tires after having larger ones one. or your tranny could be going sour
