# Shipping Wheels

What is the best/cheapest way to ship a set of wheels? I know to cover both sides in cardboard and just use packing tape. Should I ship as four separate items and who should I use as a carrier? Thanks for any help from anyone who has done this before.

i shipped 5 of my stock M wheels. Just went to fedex and i think it came out to about $60. I already had boxes from my new wheels, so i supplied those on my own.
oh…and i also shipped them all in serperate boxes

Good price :tup: with or w/o tires?
I think when I shipped my cobra wheels, it came out to approx 100.00 or so (thru DHL)… maybe less

I checked with DHL. If I drop them off and ship them ground as four items with shipping protection to a residential address in PA, it would be about $75. Does this sound about right/reasonable? It was less but they charge extra for separate items and then they charge per item to drop of residential rather than commercial etc. It seems as though there are a lot of “extras” in their pricing.

I’ve always had good results through FedEx/Kinkos. And, like others have done, shipped thiem individually. You can get estimates online at whatever website for the company you’re using. Just plug in the weight and LxWxH and there ya go…you’ve got your estimate!

You can get quotes from DHL or fedex on their websites. DHL is always a bit cheaper and slightly faster…sometimes.

I couldn’t find a way to show multiple items and oblong shapes on DHL. The website indicated $59 and then I called the 800 number and got an estimate of ~80. Fedex is listing $75 and showing delivery in 2 days. Not sure which way to go.

I’ve had great luck with DHL. Cheap shipping rates [shipped a full size office chair for 14 bucks] and thier ground service is fast for the price. I shipped a turbo thursday late afternoon from here to texas, the guy got it monday morning.
