thank god the Army switched to tan boots! i hated shining my boots every night

matterhorns FTW, saddle soap and a mild brush shine was accepted b/c polish would clog the pores and cause your feet to sweat terribly. when i went national guard i wore 10i black Doc Martin steel caps with black soles and dyed the yellow stitch black and used lincoln wax.

those were retired but are still stored in the attic and i wear a pair of Oxblood Grinder 10i steel caps now and use a cardovan polish and simply brush shine.
