I modify cars. I expect tickets for the shit I do. If you cant afford the tickets, don’t do that stuff to your car! I have plead guilty to a few no front plate, tint, exhaust, etc. tickets in my time. Not worth going to court over. Most cops don’t care about the stuff you have done to your car unless you drive like a dick, or they have nothing better to do. If it’s a slow day for them and they pull you over for a dumb reason like that, be nice, and half of the time you will get out of it.

Definitely not an Evo. They are easy to spot. The front end is a dead giveaway. Also, the front mount or lack thereof.

when the X came out there was a couple at denooyer that i thought were an evo… got up closer and it was the A/c condenser :facepalm

Also for the exhausts, you can get a ticket if it looks/sounds not stock. They don’t need a db meter or whatever, I know the troopers around here don’t even have one. If you want to contest it, you go to the station and they somebody will listen to it and decide if it’s too loud. Like somebody said… if you don’t want tickets, don’t modify it… or just know somebody who is high up in the gov’t/law enforcement in your area.

Yeah, cops do seem to pick on the imports/compacts more for dumb shit from what Ive seen.
Ive never been harassed for dumb shit like a loud exhaust with my car and its pretty loud. Cops dont bother my brother with his diesel truck and straight pipe either.

ive never gotten hassled with my dual 40 series or even when i ran open headers for 2 weeks, im always on the throttle too.
