Mark gift on the Affadavit of Sales tax form. Sign the title like normal. Go to DMV.

no sale needed if its from family.

my dad gave me a taurus once, yes theyre that shitty that people will just give them away, just wrote it a gift to my son, all done didnt have to pay any tax

My grandmother gave me a sable when I was 16, and I’m almost positive there was a tax on that. Maybe immediate family gifts don’t hold a sales tax?

I would just write the bill of sale out for $100. Pay $8.25 for the tax, bring proof of insurance, fill the title out correctly, and you are all set.
