Chinese Algae eaters (Orange or regular) and Ottos both work a LOT better then Plecos for Algae. Neither of my Pleco’s in either tank do squat for cleaning algae, but in my planted my OCAEs keeps it to almost none.

^^^ottos can be aggressive at times as they tend to be territorial esp when they get larger. also for keeping the gravel clean corycats are pretty good.

Go with fresh water, its so much easier to keep up with. IMO, arowanas are some of the coolest looking fresh water fish. They get very aggressive its really fun to watch them eat. Yea, but you really gotta watch that… one of the guys on [reefcentral.com](http://reefcentral.com) (Mr4000) had to tear his entire house down because of the tank he built in the basement (4000 Gallons); the humidity destroyed the house.

Bump decided to go another route…any suggestions here? the wall that away from the runs perpendicular to the arch wall has a chimmey vent way. that how i would vent it. and for the gas line i can have that ran from the basement.
what else should i take note of.

i was looking at this fireplace.

Not a bad idea. Probably better than the fish tank with way less maintenance. You just need to figure out a good way to incorporate it into that thin wall.
