So we took a trip to saskatoon today…and on our way back the overheat came on for like 30seconds then went off…but now it lags so hard and doesn’t boost. I wanna say ignition timing cause that fixed my merkur…but i wanna know if any other skylines have had this problem and have been fixed by now. Also what rpm is your skyline at going about…120 cause my gf’s sure does rev REALLY high for 120. But maybe it’s just me. Or we are hoping it’s a bad tank of gas haha, but then we are dreaming.

Someone please help she really doesn’t need another mechanic bill

Is it maybe some sort of limp mode in the ECU? Sounds like a bit of a strange problem.

What do you mean the “overheat came on”?

Wow, sounds like it was a bad day for Skylines.

if it actually did overheat then i would be checking for air lock somewhere. otherwise if it didnt just ask your question on [gtrcanada.com](http://gtrcanada.com) unless you already have.

no, i can’t keep up with all the forums as it is, so i haven’t posted on the site. But we are gonna look for a huge are leak, which it may be, or air lock…and if no luck, then i say…\*$^%

About the RPM… The R32 GTR idle should be about 950 RPM. Seems like everyone that has a GTR that I have spoken with is at about 1100 or 1200 RPM at idle. Maybe something freaky happens on the ship on the way over.

i actually assume the idle is because our 15 yr old vacume lines may leak a little. Its always possible, or mayeb the air being thinner??.
