What kind of rates does Skype charge to make outbound calls to land lines for cellular phones? Is anyone here doing it? It’s just basic VOIP so it should not cost much IMO
Appears like it’s $3 per month…seems worth it in my book.

What’s a local area network for a cellular phone and how do you call it?
Or did you mean “land lines or cell phones?”

I meant to ask…is it any different calling a land line from calling a cellular telephone. Is is considered the same?

It was the same rate for me when I called australia.
You do know that if the other person has skype and a microphone you can call eachother for free and talk thru the comptuer like on a phone.

I bought the skypeout and skypein package when it was on sale early in the year.
I think it was 19 bucks for unlimited calls out in the United States, now its like 30 I think, check their website.
I also got the skypein local phone number, was like 35 bucks for the year.
So about 55 bucks for the year for unlimited phone calls, about 4.50 per month.

Walmart sells a 17 dollar plastic usb phone that works fine.
Xact brand or some shit.
I use it, it produces much better sound than shitty computer mics.
