> Another fun thing about melatonin is that you remember dreams vividly. I used to take it but it stopped working so I moved on to Ambien which knocks your ass out. Not that I wanted to take the narcotic route but I really can’t afford to not sleep.

I was prescribed Ambien and only used it 6 times. Once I started hearing from people that I would call/text them in the middle of the night or start chatting incoherently with people on FB I figured I’d stop before something more serious happened. Nothing of which I could remember, btw.

A fan should get you right back on track. Not sleeping sucks. I have insomnia, would go weeks with only sleeping 1-2 hours a night, sometimes days with out sleeping at all. Days just kinda floated buy, nights would drag. Felt like I was in a dream all the time.

I work night shift so sleeping is extra shitty. Usually turn on top gear or something I’ve seen a million times, curl up with the dog and a bunch of fans and hope for the best.

I’m a fan of melatonin, but one time i was upset and i just wanted to pass the fuck out, 5 of them didn’t work lol. Normally 1-2 3mg pills knock me out.

Honestly, I took some sleeping pills not paying attention once. Woke up dizzy and dazed in the middle of the night, fell down my effing stairs and cut my leg open on something. I’ll never take sleeping pills again. My bad sleep was actually linked to my depression, once on the correct rx.
I can actually take naps during the day and sleep normally now…

I’ve been working overnight shift for 2 years now, I’m ready to kill myself. Avoid doing this if possible. Usually half a Xanax will put me right to sleep if I’m having trouble. Try to get some exercise, join a gym or at least walk around your block…

I cant sleep with out my fan on im not sure if its the noise or just that i get to hot, my gf is always cold and cant even sleep next to me because its to hot. If i dont have it on i do notice every little noise going on around me and drives me nuts so im sure its a bit of both.

Fan or white noise generator. You don’t want to become dependant on the sleeping pills so try to avoid them.

If I am on my normal sleep schedule I can sleep thru anything, My only problem is when I try to change my 3am-10am (work second shift) to a normal time during the weekends

Lol, I used to take xanax for anxiety… It worked great.
About 5 mins after I took it, I was out for hours… /end panic attack

Pain reliever + sleep aid is what I do if I require it. Usually only when my body feels like it’s about the fall apart.

edit;
To the guys that fall asleep with the TV on…
Do you dream about what is happening on TV?

Usually when I’m sleeping and the TV is on… I have a dream about what’s going on on TV.
Like I can hear the TV in my dream, but I’m one of the people in the show.

Box fan FTW. As many others stated, it got me through dorm life and is now a necessity. I can’t sleep with the TV on, half asleep listening to what it’s saying =shitty sleep.

I usually pass out to the weather channel. I get to work and still don’t know what the weather is going to be like. Its repeditive and I won’t wake up to chuck norris trying to sell me a total gym or " make your manhood bigger in 3 days!" shit.
