funny u say that. i read a chart in one of my school books that compared peoples level of happiness to thier income in 1951 and in 2004. they converted the 1951 dollars into 2004 dollars, and actually, people make on averave, almost $8000 more in 2004 than they did in 1951, however fewer people are happier today and than in 1951, and that number is actually increasing.
