LOL so much for this not turning into a debate…I never said I quit smoking by dipping\> I just made the transition because I can dip at my desk at work…makes life a little easier. As for right now I have a tin of Skoal mint and I am loving every second of it. ---

I know a ton of elderly that dip and havent lost a jaw. Its the same as smoking. Some people smoke their whole lifes and dont get cancer. Some people chew their whole life and dont get cancer. ---

Meh, not my job to tell people what to do. Long as they don’t spit it anywhere I have a chance of encountering it, have at it hoss. Least it doesn’t stink like smoking or give you cancer 2nd hand. ---

As a dipper for three years I have to say I really need to quit. I’m in the process of doing so but the negative aspects of it are crazy. Bad breath, knowing you could get cancer, yellow teeth, receding gum lines. It’s also disgusting as hell. The only positive I know is how easily you can hide it from a girl. She will probably know you smoke but you are pretty safe as long as you don’t dip while with her. Lying is not very good for relationships though. ---

For years I smoked a ton, when I joined the army I started dipping as well. Probably to fit in or something im not really sure why. For about two years I dipped usually grizzle mint and over time just stopped. I mostly enjoyed dipping and or smoking when I was drinking to be honest. Well in Iraq after smoking countless packs of delicious $1 a pack cigs I one day just kinda stopped smoking. I still will enjoy a nice cig when hammered if offered but neither dip or smoke on the regular anymore. ---
