What about the house fires that result from people having a tantalizing fire source in their homes at all times, usually well within reach of children.
And the idiots that fall asleep smoking.

I would be a complete ass hole to people smoking inside my work place. It is one of my hot buttons. unfortunately working at other peoples houses everyday I can’t always ask people not to smoke in their own home.

> DWI is a result of alcohol consumption just as health concerns are a result of inhalation of smoke. Smoking affects others around smokers, just as alcohol affects others around drinkers. Those affected by either did not make the choice. We could go on forever debating this. Even if I were a non-smoker I would advocate smoker’s rights. The only way to totally solve a problem is a complete ban of the source. Are we ready for a nationwide smoking ban, **_repeal of gun rights_** , a second prohibition? How far do we go?

Watch it buddy… I’m a local fire fighter, I see PLENTY of ryan dunn crashes, mostly in my front yard. Not 4 months ago was there a Z06 on its roof at 2am in my yard. Didn’t bother me. Struggling to breathe as my airways are swelling closed while I’m trying to do my job is a different story. Can’t say I have to worry about a drunk driver in my parts room.

I see all the points non-smokers are making.

But it still doesnt stop me from thinking my generation are a bunch of pussies and the one after me is a bunch of emo pussies.

I would think it would be common curdousy (sp?) to move away if someone asked you to regardless of laws. If someone ask me not to rub one off in the toilit, I’m be sure to take a shower where there is a drain in the floor, not get all offended and rub on off on there desk.

The point I’m trying to make is the root purpose of the start of this thread is the effect smoke has on his health, not by his choice. You don’t want any form of comparison, you just want to hear smoking is bad and we can only address one issue and no others matter. What is your solution to his problem?

So if that guy in the vette hurt someone as a result if his poor decision, should we ban all high horsepower, high performance cars and motorcycles?

I’m with 1kickZ. I hate it when I’m doing something near someone who’s drinking and they spill their liquor down my throat. Just because they choose to drink doesn’t mean I should have to if I’m doing something near them.

Ok, I have to go off on a Quattro\_Krant here for a second…

OMG… Did your down syndrome mother drop you on your head as a child?. The act of drinking is not causing the harm, not even when you drink right next to someone and blow your booze breath in their direction. The act of drinking AND FUCKING DRIVING is causing the harm, and we’ve ALREADY MADE THAT ILLEGAL. How fucking stupid do you have to be to not see the difference?

How about the state trooper that took out my mailbox with his SUV because he didn’t pay attention to the 15mph curve sign? OMG lets ban state troopers!

As for the OP… Smokers irritates his health. It will probably not kill him. I think he’s probably just bitter because his parents were probably smokers
while he was a kid or even… inhaled while pregnant.
He has a valid anti-smoker complaint though. The rest of us are just whining about how inconsiderate smokers can be.

I would like to encourage smoking. Especially in the elderly. I would also like to support grain liquor vouchers in place of food stamps/Medicaid.
I envy smokers that are willing to spend so much money on something they love.
