When I talked to T&L for their advice, they told me I should have never sprayed that motor at all because, since it was a 408 with a 4" stroke and 6" rod, the pistons are quite small and thin and not really suitable for nitrous use. Thus, the de-stroking idea…dropping back to a 3.75" stroke and a 5.7" rod should make for a much stronger piston. Block is at B&R right now…if it needs bored out I should know by tomorrow…if I have to go .040 or .060 over then I will have to wait a couple weeks for the kit…if it can stay at .030 then Jegs has 'em in stock and I can get one next day. Anyone have any thoughts on heads? If I have to buy new heads anyway, is there any reason to use anything else but AFR 195 Eliminator’s?
