the house was freshly remodeled… but not to my taste… but honestly i coud give a shit less about where i live but my g/f’s going nuts over paint this… painting that like on trading spaces… soooo 2 bedroom… 2 bath… liv…din… kitchen… nice area for my dog to run… nice area to own more then 5 vehicals… hehe… nice place to park my car trailer’s… and store my tractor’s… haha can we say im getting old yet!@! haha anyway anyone else have there wives/gf’s… all into that trading spaces shit… she’s going nuts and im praying i can say ill like it when she’s done@!! im moving in july 15th… !! ---

I’m in the same boat. I’m finishing up a brand new house. At least you only have her saying, “Let’s paint it this color, the trim this color, etc.” My girlfriend was running around saying, “Put this wall here. Then I can do this…” I also had the whole picking out showers, sinks, flooring, etc. _headache_ ---

Ya I just bought a house in like sept of last year. We redid the kitchen and bathroom and changed around a few small things, painted every room in the house. Now this year I am spending all my $$ on small things such as privacy fence, strom doors, door trim… So for now at least the ws.6 doesnt get any mods :crying: …anyways enough bitching, congrats on the new house ---

yeah man… a buddy is doing the same and i’ve helped… my mom did her whole house paint with rags and sponges and all that bullshit… i can lend some pointers if need be… otherwise just slap that shit on! do you have to do any refurbishing of the walls before you paint? ---

congrats on the house…too many ppl watch trading spaces and all those shows, and have no clue as to what they are doing, think “oh that looks so easy i can do that” and just start doing shit pell mell, and then it looks like ass…🤣 hahahaha I hope your home doesn’t end up like one of the shows that ends out w/ the owner hating the place…good luck! ---

I just finished redoing my basement. Tore walls down to concrete, tore up floor, tore down celing. I then built new walls, ran new wiring, put up celing, put in new floor, painted etc… What a pain in the ass. If you need anything let me know. ---

FYI: If you’re going to build your own house…make sure your friends will stick with you throughout the entire project. Note: I framed, plumbed, and ran the electric for my interior myself. I don’t do drywall, though. Anyone know any good finishers? I have someone hanging it. ---

It was a pain but now I know it’s done right. I actually like doing housework like this. a crowbar, a sawzall, and a hammer can be a lot of fun with a few beers and a basement that needs taken apart. ---

Hubby is a contractor, owns his own business, we can build the house for like 1/3 of the cost b/c we self perform most of the work thru his business…except the electric and hvac…get all the materials for cost…BUT…it means him living the job 24-7 till it’s done. :scared: Which makes hubby very cranky. The house we are in now, he bought it as a fixer upper 8 years ago…it’s STILL not done…I am banking on it being done the day before we move out lol ---

ryan homes has some sick ass offers now a days. they’re literally so good… i don’t know how they stay insured bc it’s insane the amount of money they’ll let you finance. it’s a sick ass deal. my boys building a home for 375 and it’ll be worth 550 when he’s done and he’s put $500 down. fucking insane! he told me the ins and outs and it’s definitely how i will build my first home. ---
