I just picked up a DVR from Adelphia, and I had some fun watching the hockey game last night and whatnot.
What does everyone here use their DVR for? Anything special that they couldn’t live without beforehand?

usually recording things LOL…
naww…but the DVR is so much better. It’s so nice to pause and what not so i don’t miss anything.

Everything… Pausing TV is great; I record Sopranos, and multiple HBO stuff; my Roommate always records Big Love. Got a bunch of Southparks and Family guy’s recorded on there for boredom times.

I generally record any show I’d normally watch, then watch something from the dvr when the show I’m recording is on.
Watching a 1 hour drama in 43-45 minutes by fast forwarding through all commercials \> \*.
It really spoils you when you watch something live though, and suddenly that fast forward button can’t get you past the commercials.

season passes, web apps, my tivo is hacked for web access, so much easier to set ur shit up online than through tivo.
