LOL, that wasn’t a bum though, in the homeless sense. He got out of a newer Chrysler minivan, probably stolen, and proceeded to steal my fries. Dammit.

I like the shoeshine bum. At least he does something for his money. JAM bought me a shoe shine once. The dude was mad at me because I had previously walked through deep mud and my shoes were a mess. He then wanted a tip and he bummed a cigarette off me. Every bum wants your cigarettes. They’re relentless.
