The hood is shimmed up on washers on the mounts so that it is proped up in the back to let hot air out and the engine breath a bit better …about half of the modified cars I see in japan have their hoods done this way, just like my alto works

I saw him driving it last week and it looked like he shimmed the trunk up like that as well.

yup he shimmed the trunk and hood …looks a bit weird but it can totally be undone in a few minutes …
my alto is like that as well and I found out it is because the big strut bar cant clear it properly without doing it like that as it has a different front end put on it …

Maybe just take off the body parts if they dont fit right instead of shimming them…maybe thats why i see some muscle cars without hoods :roll:
