# some gm stuff i need.

brian, you may be able to help me out here. or someone else may too.
im turboing a 6 cylinder bmw. for engine management, i want to use gm ecu. i have talked about this, so now im going to do it. i know i can make it work.
i need the following–
typhoon/cyclone ecu and engine wiring harness, the air temp/water temp and 2 bar map sensor.
i figure cut the wires and make my own harness to length. i can get all the chip shit i need.
cheap is good! i wanna see if i can make it work.

hey sailor if brian can’t … i’m sure on like sy/ty.org or one of them sites u’ll be able to find one…
but if u let me know if brian can’t cuz i think i know a kid that is parting one out

I know the turbo Buick guys like the 1227148 dont know if Sy/Ty’s use this or not.
The correct MAF for this ECM is GM # 25007866
As for the harness, any FWD GM car with a '86-87 3.0-3.8 V-6 will have what you need.
Just posting it up as an option, Sy/Ty items can be hard to come by.

pretty much any gm harness/ecu will work. however, ty/cy harness is speed density setup–which is what i want. the ecu is also different plug wise iirc.
i could use a tpi harness, but it will be missing some wires i would need. be easy enough to splice it in, but if u have the ty/cy harness, it is all there.
