wow. I was in civil air patrol as a youth. My whole fathers side of the family are officers in the AF. I was going to join, until cars got into me worse than heroin. Couldnt shake it, and here I am today 😛 ---

Pretty sad stuff yeah its rough. the one of hardest ones i ever had to do was when the wife was completly quiet the whole funeral until we played taps and she lost it. she was crying so hard that when i went to present the flag to her, she fell on to her knees and just doubled over. you cant think of it or else it will tear you apart ---

If there is one song that just makes me stop in my tracks no matter what I’m doing… I remember running inside or getting off base ASAP to not have to stop for the Star spangled. Taps though, I could be off base, inside and no matter what its hats off and almost brings a tear to my eye to hear it. Ugh its a rough one. ---
