> Thanks for the props Ollie! Car and the pics look fly!
>
> Thats the body panels fault. Look at the center chrome body line, then look at the rear arch and the front arch. The front is cut much higher than the rear, making it look raked. Same as the EVO10, look at a side pic of them… they are like 2+ inches higher up front VS the rear. If the car was on air, and laid frame, you would still see tire up front and wheel out back. As it is, the car got high centered on my 220V extension cord driving over it pulling out of the shop! There is a reason, hot rods are channeled, body dropped, and sectioned to look slammed… lowering the suspension to achieve the look can only go so far.
>
> Time to get some extra front fenders and cut them up! Add the difference in material (body center line VS front & rear wheels arches) in to the fender, to drop the front wheel arch, then cut the difference out of the bottom at the frame… thus move the fender arch down to match the back. Alot of work, but holy shit would it be baller. From a rough est from the pics, its about 1.75" that the front arch has to drop to match the rear.

This guy always knows what’s up!😃

I actually want to do the reverse of what you just said. I’m happy with the car now but next season I want to go 19s or possibly even 20s with serious fender work, mostly on the rear quarters, and custom aero. I’d like to do a 1.75-2" radius so that I can keep my current ride height, roughly, but run bigger wheels and avoid uneven wheel tuck and/or heavily raked stance. The rear doors, fender wells, everything will need to be reworked. The more that the car looks like a cartoon and not real life the better:lol all kidding aside here’s a quick google image that shows radiused fenders on an older q45

Might not be everyone’s cup of tea but I’m hooked on this style right now

exactly. people seem to forget that the SLAMMED look isnt all about suspension, or lack there of.

Have any of you ever ridden in an old school leadsled? rolling around rockers a few inches from the ground, tucking brake rotors and looking sinister? the suspension is hardly touched and rides like a dream. Granted thats apples to oranges, but still… there is so much more to meet the eye when it comes to the look your after and getting outside the confines of putting the suspension up in the trunk/strut body!

That’s awesome. I always wondering how they got those big heavy cars so low to the ground.

here’s a couple more examples of custom kits and radiuses I like (ignore the camber, just talking body). the fenders look very oem considering the work involved

:rofl

But yeah pretty much in feb of 2009 a bunch of us bmw guys got sick of everyone on bimmerforums being such pussy faggots and started StanceWorks as a place to get away from the bs. This was before everyone started being bandwagon stancefags in the US and before the word “stance” was such a lame word. It’s more or less a site with a lot of variety in cars and styles and filled with people who can appreciate it all. It’s actually not just about “stance.” Check out the main page sometime, for real. Most articles aren’t even about stance, just really fucking cool automotive shit and quality photography. nothing like stancenation or any of that bs
/sw pitch

hahah I’ve always hated S:N

I’ll tell you why… back in the early days of S/W, Elvis was on there with his lame ass stock charger. Well a bunch of the guys, myself included, gave him advice on the 22x10 viper wheels, coils, adapters, tire sizes and even got help from some of the sw guys in person. Speedhunters even posted pics of his car BECAUSE of SW help and pics. Whatever dgaf that’s what forums are for to help people out. So anyway the guy is really good at graphic design so he started making peoples sigs which were awesome so obviously ppl used them (made one for me but he refused to leave out the s:n banner), they all said STANCENATION on them and linked them to his new blog and forum, a direct rip off of SW. Ben and Mike kindly asked him to ease up on the advertisements for his site but he was a huge dick about it and proceeded to talk shit about the forum that helped him out just so he could promote SN. He would post about it and link to SN constantly and played his charger off like he was some legend and never mentioned where he got the help from. He went to Stance of the Union (SW event) just to promote the fuck out of SN. Idk I just found it super disrespectful to sw (normally you dont cross promote your forum like that) and he just happened to be one of the first people to jump on the stancefagblog bandwagon to try to make money. If you go on S:N youll notice right away he allows anyone to advertise and is 100% in it for the money. Go on SW and you will see that every single vendor is chosen and held to high standards and not allowed to advertise like crazy but instead encouraged to contribute and participate with the community. I know first hand that Mike, Ben, and Andrew don’t make much from SW and always reinvest… we all know they could make a killing from that site with the amount of views they get

Whatever I guess I’m just ranting about Elvis being a massive sell out. I’m all about making money and capitalizing on shit but not on the one thing I love.:dunno I HATE all stanceblogs and stance whatevers that exist because some tools (the REAL STANCEFAG bandwagon nut ryding rusted out roof racking sticker bombing wheel spec ripping off douches that you guys love) think they can make some money off the community

Read and understood lol.

I’ve shot features for both SN and SW. SW took FOREVER to get the feature up, close to 3 months I think haha, but understandable because they’re probably busy.

Like you said there are wayyyy too many “Stance” blogs out there, a few have not so quality vehicles and some do. And magazines suffer just because anyone can get a feature on those blogs it seems.

I LOL’d and was quite entertained by this excerpt. The word stance is almost as played out as the word epic or troll lately.

Thanks for the clarifications. I’ll actually check out SN… Oops. I mean SW. 🍺

By far. If I’m looking for a bunch of pics of random “stanced” cars Ill go to stancenation or stancedragon or stance stance revolution… if I want quality automotive content and a good read I go to stanceworks…

but on another note I found the sig that Elvis from SN made for me 2 years ago… fuck it. it’s too sick not to use:rofl can anyone edit stancenation out?:lol
