oh i know all about the 90s CRs…i didnt mean those. i had a 97 YZ that was super fast and we rode w/ a kid that had a modded 93 CR and it hung right w/ mine. i meant more like the 80s 125s.

thanks for the compliments on the RM.

i might be wrong but its prob 13-51. the 87s were 13 up front, so i would think thats what yours is too. as far as the front, u r gonna want to stick w/ the stock tooth size. if u want to mess w/ the gearing, then go up or down in the back. for the power output of that bike, u dont want to stray too much from stock.

yeah it’s def geared low in the front, rear might be stock for all i know, i want to stay stock with it…btw i fixed the bogging problem, i turned the screw on the side of the carb (i was told it was the jet but i was told you can’t adjust them either) and she picked up nicely, was runnin a bit rich

> ya, just keep at it. sometimes jetting is a bitch. the reeds usually help from idle through the low-end of the power. if its bogging anything after that its your needle or pilot and if its mid-top then its the main. if u continue to have problems PM eurodad, he knows more about it than i do…he might have some tips.

the pilot jet and air screw are at the very bottom then the the needle is in the middle and over laps the bottom and top. the main jet is around 3/4to 7/8 and up.

make sure the air screw is set right. if it is you might need to leaner pilot jet.

the air screw as in the idle screw? if so you turn the choke. i can only find 1 jet in this carb there is no way to get to anything else in it

that sounds like the air screw. set it around 2 1/2 turns out to start. after you start the bike set the idle or just turn the throttle slightly till it idles. now turn your airscrew out slowly (out leans it out). you want to get the highest idle. if you have to turn it out more than say 4 turns then it would be a good idea to use a leaner pilot jet.

some carbs do use the choke to set the idle. but that is different than the air screw.

the only thing you can turn (screw wise) on this carb is the choke and what i thought was the main jet brass piece threaded on the end, spring and groove in it for a screwdriver. there’s nothing else on this carb

the brass scre with the spring is your airscrew. turn it all the way in then back it outr 2 1/2 turns. that is the base setting. start the bike and get it warmed up. now let it idle. if it won’t, just twist the throttle a tad till it will hold a STEADY low rpm. now SLOWLY turn the air screw out and stop when you get the highest idle(try turning 1/4 turns at a time.). now take it for a ride and see if it runs better.

the pilot jet and the main jet are inside the float bowl. they can’t be seen unless the float bowl is removed.
